My older Pathfinder has the original radiator. Should I replace it?

On a 2005 to 2010 model, yes, it is worth it. The failure is known to mix coolant into the transmission fluid, and the repair after that is far bigger than a radiator.

Does the Pathfinder have a timing belt?

No. Pathfinders from 2001 on use a timing chain. It lasts a long time with clean oil. A rattle or whine at cold start is worth checking.
