How the price works

Once the test shows the radiator is the problem, the replacement is quoted in writing with the radiator, hoses and coolant each on their own line. Tax applies to those parts, not to the labor. Choose the warranty that fits, 90 days, 1 year or 2 years, and that sets your price.

Questions people ask

Can a radiator be repaired instead of replaced?
Older all-metal radiators could be soldered. Modern radiators have plastic tanks crimped onto an aluminum core, and once a tank cracks the reliable fix is a new radiator. Stop-leak products are a short-term patch that can clog the heater core.
Why did my radiator crack?
Heat cycles make the plastic brittle over the years, and a spike from a bad fan or thermostat can finish it off. Salt air also eats at the aluminum. Ten-plus years in Miami is a normal lifespan.
Does a radiator replacement include the hoses?
We recommend it, and we quote them as a separate line so you can see the cost. The hoses are the same age as the radiator, and the system is already drained.
Will a new radiator fix my transmission overheating?
If your radiator has a built-in transmission cooler and it is clogged, yes, it can. We check the cooler lines and flow as part of the job on those cars.
How long can I drive with a small radiator leak?
Not far and not in traffic. A slow seep can open up without warning when the system heats up and the pressure climbs. Top it off, watch the gauge, and get it in this week.
