A technician works the metal back into shape from behind the panel with special tools, without sanding or repainting. It keeps the factory paint, which is the best finish your car will ever have, and it is faster than a traditional repair.
Can every dent be fixed without paint?
No. It works when the paint is intact and the dent is not too sharp or sitting on a body line. If the paint is cracked or the metal is creased hard, we do traditional body work. A photo usually tells us which one.
How long does it take?
Small paintless repairs are often same day. Dents that need paint take longer because the paint has to cure properly, especially in humid weather.
Should I claim a dent on insurance?
For one or two dings it usually costs less than the deductible, so most people pay out of pocket. For hail or several dents a claim often makes sense. We give you the number in writing and help you decide.
Does the insurer decide where I get the dent fixed?
No. In Florida you pick the body shop, no matter what the insurer suggests.
