Do I need new rotors every time I get pads?
Not always. If the rotors are above the minimum thickness and not warped, we can resurface them or leave them alone. If they are thin or grooved, new pads on old rotors will wear out fast and can pulse, so we will show you the measurement and let you decide.
Why do brakes squeak in the morning in Miami?
Overnight humidity leaves a thin film of rust on the rotors. A little noise for the first few stops is normal. Squealing that continues all day, or grinding, means the pads are worn or something is stuck.
How long do brake pads last in stop-and-go traffic?

Is it safe to drive if the brakes are grinding?

Do you flush brake fluid?

Can you do brakes on a hybrid?
Yes. Hybrids use regenerative braking, so the pads often last longer but the calipers can seize from lack of use. We service the friction brakes and follow the safe procedure for the hybrid system.
