Transmission service in Miami Gardens

Smooth shifts and a transmission that lasts as long as the rest of the car. Heat is the enemy of transmission fluid, and Miami traffic makes plenty of it. We service the fluid and filter on schedule, fix leaks, and diagnose shifting problems before recommending anything big.

Transmission service

  • Check fluid level, color and smell, and read the transmission module for codes
  • Drain and fill or full fluid exchange with the exact fluid your transmission specifies
  • Replace the filter and pan gasket on transmissions that have a serviceable pan
  • Repair leaks at the pan, axle seals, cooler lines and the front pump seal
  • Service CVT transmissions in Nissans, Hondas and Toyotas on the proper interval
  • Perform a relearn or adaptation reset after service when the car needs it
  • Diagnose slipping, harsh shifting and delayed engagement before anything comes apart

Signs you need this

  • Shifts feel harsh, delayed or slip under acceleration
  • The fluid looks brown or smells burnt
  • A shudder at low speed, common with older CVTs
  • A red or brown puddle under the car
  • The transmission warning light or check engine light is on
  • It has been more than 60,000 miles since the last fluid service

We check the fluid and scan the transmission first, then quote the service or repair in writing. Sales tax applies to fluid, filter and parts, never to labor. You select the warranty term, 90 days, 1 year or 2 years, and the quote is priced out for the option you pick.

Questions people ask

Is transmission fluid really lifetime?
No transmission fluid survives Miami traffic for the life of the car. The fluid breaks down with heat, and an engine idling in Palmetto traffic with the AC on cooks it. Most transmissions do well with a service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles.
Can a fluid change fix slipping?
Sometimes, if the fluid is just old and low. If the clutches are already worn, new fluid will not bring them back. We test before we service so you are not paying for a fluid change on a transmission that needs more.
What is a CVT and why does it need special care?
A continuously variable transmission uses a belt and pulleys instead of gears. It is smooth and efficient but sensitive to old fluid and heat. Using the wrong fluid, or waiting too long, is what wears them out early.
Do you rebuild transmissions?
We diagnose, service and repair leaks, solenoids, sensors and external parts. When a transmission needs a full rebuild or replacement, we quote it in writing and tell you what the options are, including a remanufactured unit.
Should I flush or drain and fill?
It depends on the transmission and the condition of the fluid. Most modern units do best with a drain and fill, sometimes repeated. We follow what the manufacturer recommends for your car, not a one-size approach.
