  • Inspect tie rods, ball joints and bushings first, because worn parts cannot hold an alignment
  • Measure camber, caster and toe on all four wheels
  • Adjust the front and, where the car allows, the rear to factory specs
  • Center the steering wheel
  • Check tire pressure and ride height, which affect the readings
  • Print the before and after numbers for your records
  • Road test to confirm the car tracks straight

How the price works

The alignment itself is a set price we write down before the car goes on the rack. If we find a worn part that has to be replaced first, that gets its own written quote, with tax on the part only, and you choose a 90 day, 1 year or 2 year warranty on it, which adjusts the total.

Questions people ask

How do I know if I need an alignment?
Uneven tire wear, a crooked steering wheel or pulling to one side are the classic signs. If you hit something hard enough to worry about it, that is reason enough. It is also smart to do one with a new set of tires.
Can you align a car with worn suspension parts?
We can get numbers, but they will not hold. A loose tie rod or ball joint moves as you drive and the alignment drifts right back out. We check for play first and tell you what needs replacing before we adjust anything.
Does a lowered or lifted car need a special alignment?
Modified ride height changes the geometry and often needs adjustable parts to reach a good spec. We can align it, and we will tell you if the stock adjustment range is not enough.
How often should I get an alignment in Miami?
Once a year is a good habit given the potholes and construction plates around here, and any time you replace tires or steering parts.
Will an alignment fix a vibration?
No. Alignment controls where the wheels point, not whether they are balanced. A shake at speed is usually tire balance, a bent wheel or a worn part, and we can check all three.
