How the price works

Diagnostic time is a written price you approve first. When we find the fault you get a separate written price for the repair and you decide. Tax is charged on parts only. Fleet units get the findings sheet in their file and the job on one monthly invoice.

Can you just clear the code?
We can, and it will come back. We would rather show you the live data that explains why the code set, so you decide with the facts in front of you.
Do you have the software for my engine?
We cover the common heavy, medium and light duty diesel platforms running through Miami. If your engine needs a dealer-only tool for a specific function, we tell you before you bring it in.
Why did the last shop replace a sensor and the problem is still there?
Because a code points at a circuit, not a part. A NOx or DEF code can be a sensor, wiring, a leak or a real emissions problem. We test the circuit before we sell you a part.
Do you diagnose electrical problems too?
Yes. Miami's rain season floods connectors and rots grounds, and half the diesel gremlins we see are electrical. We chase them with a meter and the wiring diagram, not by swapping parts.
If I approve the repair, do you charge diagnostic time on top?
The diagnostic price is on the written quote and so is the repair. You see both numbers before you approve either.
